Here is part 2 from the Mythophone project from Dan Fox. This one also features Bernie Davis in good song.
I came across this on the internet the other day. It’s a really nice sound piece made a couple of years ago, by the excellent Sound Artist Dan Fox as part of the Mythophones project. This is where ‘The public were invited to discover Liverpool’s ‘secret gardens’ and share their unknown secrets, fantastical facts, tall tales, myths and poems through…
I found this on youtube the other day, it’s a scene from the 1950’s Ealing film ‘The Magnet’ and features a train journey on the overhead railway with Liverpool Docks in the background. Walking through Williamson Square this week, you can’t help but notice the amazing photographs under the banner ‘Stranded’ which explore the poignant stories and lives of retired Merchant and Royal Navy seamen and Wrens who served in the Battle of the Atlantic operations during the second world war. The photographs are really striking and I recognised a few faces passing…

As part of BOA70 We were invited onto the Canadian Ship Iroquois on Sunday evening, it was a very posh do, with cocktails and even a chocolate fountain. We sampled the Navy moose milk which is apparently a Canadian Navy tradition and it was so good, we thought we would share the recipe. It might be a good idea to…
