A Happy New Year to all. I was passend a copy of this footage by Pat Moran a while ago and happened to come across it recently during a New Year clear out. Interesting to see the crowds on the waterfront. If anyone knows who filmed this let me know in the comments below.
This was before you’d get a certificate for learning how to climb a ladder. it was bombed in WW2 in 1941 and later restored to its original condition.

I found this on youtube the other day, it’s a scene from the 1950’s Ealing film ‘The Magnet’ and features a train journey on the overhead railway with Liverpool Docks in the background. I haven’t seen the full film, but I’ve just ordered it – looks interesting, particularly as it was filmed in Liverpool.
