LIVING HISTORY- Sharing stories about Albert Dock Liverpool.
From a working dock to a thriving leisure attraction, the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool has seen many people come and go.
A new Heritage Lottery supported project is looking for people with memories of the Albert Dock, particularly dockers and seafarers who remember it before it’s closure in the early 1970’s.
What was it like to work there?
What were the buildings used for?
Do your family or friends ever work at the Albert Dock?
Have you got a memory to share or a story to tell?
They are looking for people who can tell them more about this fascinating piece of Liverpool’s heritage.
Your stories will help them to develop plans for the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool’s 175th anniversary in 2021, and will be added to the Merseyside Maritime Museum’s archive.
